I was very nervous until I meet Leslie and Britney; they made me feel so comfortable instantly. They’re also both hilarious!!
What was your favorite part of your session experience?
My favorite part of my session was being out of my comfort zone, but being confident in my body.
How do you feel now that you have completed your session and received your images?
After four children and in my mid 30’s I’ve aged and my body has changed so much. Doing a boudoir session was always on my bucket list, but I never thought I’d have the time much less confidence to do it. Now after seeing my images I have a new found sense of confidence and self worth that I’ve never had. I am addicted to the feeling two sessions later and I’m scheduled to go back all year!!!!!

About my body! After rashes, biopsies, scars, babies, etc- my body isn’t what it was when I was 18 and I was nervous for the things I dislike about it to be portrayed. I’m so glad I was wrong!

Hailey came to see me near the beginning of January for her first session (yep, she’s already had another one). She booked for a personal reason, one that required her to remember who she is. People book for a lot of reasons. Sometimes it’s because they want to give their partner a gift, sometimes it’s because they are getting married and want to give their new husband an album on their wedding day, sometimes it’s because they just need a pick me up and sometimes it’s because they’ve been through something and they’ve totally lost themselves. Whatever reason you do it for, at the end of the day… it’s really for you. At least it will be when it’s over.
One of the best parts of booking a boudoir session with me is that you get to see your images before you even leave the studio. Everyone loves immediate gratification, and I do it because I know that clients do. But, really I do it because I love to SEE you SEE yourself. EVERY SINGLE WOMAN who sits down with me to see their photos, just as the camera takes them… with NO editing, says “ that’s me?!?!? I look like that? “. I saw some of Leslie's work on a friend's page and was immediately drawn to it. She does such a great job of capturing the fierceness and beauty of these women. None of her work ever made me think "o that's a little too raunchy", every thought was "hell yea, look at her owning it!"

EVERYTHING! Lol, would they turn out good? Would I be comfortable doing them? But Leslie is awesome and makes you feel completely at ease!

The way I felt while taking them. It really is an empowering feeling. It was so much fun to do!

Rebekha was so much fun to work with! When she booked with me, I knew she was going to be a hoot! She has so many creative ideas, knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to ask for it! I just loved her calm, but direct way of asking for what she wanted.
I could tell she was a little nervous, but she really opened up quickly. She sat down in Dana’s chair while I pulled out the outfit selections she brought in (which were just panties, and you’ll see why). But, she’d put a lot of thought into those panties. We chatted during her makeup and hair preparations, and by the time we were ready to start the session she was ready to roll.

Well, my Mom went to see Leslie for a session and she showed me all her photos. My mom and I are very close and share similar body insecurities as most of us women do, but I could see the happiness that the BEAUTIFUL photos Leslie took gave my Mom and I was sold from that moment on going to see her myself.
What were you nervous about going into your session?
I'd like to say I wasn't nervous at all really, but I know on the inside I was. Being naked in front of a woman I just met 10 minutes ago was no biggie, Leslie made me SO comfortable, but thinking about wether I'd like my photos and seeing my new "mom body" posed by someone else and not myself trying my best to do those little poses we all do at home in the mirror trying to be all cute and get the best angle for the booty, but just Leslie capturing me naturally myself.

My favorite part FOR SURE had to be being in a room with such an empowering beautiful woman and also a Mommy like myself, and of course bringing one of my best friends and having the time of my life just letting go and laughing with some of my favorite ladies.

A lot has changed in the last twenty or so years. Ashley and I have known each other most of our lives. We used to dress alike, we had all of the same toys and our mothers spent many hours crafting together. Our lives have gone different directions, and we didn’t see each other for many years. Her family moved to Rhode Island when we were both nine years old. That summer my parents separated and we all loaded up in our green Dodge Caravan and drove all the way to Providence. I remember the black striped bike shorts that we both wore to the American Girl store ( we were both obsessed with American Girl), and the side pony tails we both had that day. I don’t remember a lot from my childhood, but I remember Ashley being my best friend.
She moved back ‘down’ South a few years ago, and we instantly reconnected (she’s only TWO hours away now)! She lives in Dallas, is basically the coolest chick I know, super successful and she’s S A N G L E !!!!!!!!!

Boudoir photos don’t have to be lingerie. You can really make them your own. Your favorite t-shirt, or wearing a piece of clothing that means a lot to you. When you think about getting your boudoir photos taken, don’t limit yourself to lace. Try to think outside of the box. ‘
Petite Boudoir Sessions are a great way to book a session with me. The sessions are sweet and to the point. You come to see me with your hair and makeup already complete (either made up, or some ladies love to do a session in their everyday look). We typically have time to shoot 2-3 outfits as well as sheet photos.

This was my second session with Leslie. I saw her post some pictures and knew I needed to get pictures done by her, after the first session I was hooked.
What were you nervous about going into your session?
I am a shy person and although I have done boudoir in the past I always get nervous that I won’t be “sexy” enough and the pictures won’t turn out the way I imagine them to.
What was your favorite part of your session experience?
I love how empowered I felt after the session. I work a lot and am a single mother so I am always putting everyone else’s needs ahead of my own. It’s easy to forget that I am able to be a sexy woman, this session reminded me of that.

1. What made you choose Blush Studio by Leslie for your boudoir session?
I chose Blush Studio because her photos stood out the most to me and from reading her posts I could tell every person she worked with had fun and loved their photos so much. And by looking out her photos I could tell she added her own personal touch to them.

That I wouldn't honestly adore my photos or they wouldn't turn out the way I wanted them to look. Or I would mess up on the different poses because I'm super stiff and not photogenic at all.

My favorite part of the session was actually the different poses I got to try out, which I never done before. And definitely getting my makeup done by Hailey.

I’ve known Hailey for about two years. I photographed her wedding and all of the details leading up to it. Even a pre-wedding boudoir session. :). I’m so happy that Hailey and I found each other, and below you can find out a little bit more about her. Because Hailey has been where you will be, I think that you’ll feel even more comfortable during your session and she will show you it’s ok to think “ DAMN, I look good !!!” Read on to find out more about Hailey. :)
What do you think having her makeup done professionally does for a woman, especially when it comes to boudoir?
I think that doing a woman's makeup enhances the beauty that they already have. It gives them confidence and every time I finish a clients makeup you can tell by the way they look in the mirror and start taking selfies !!! Doing boudoir makeup in particular is my favorite. The look on their face when they see the photos and realize that that is them and they DO look sexy! I think it is such an amazing thing that happens to them and it boost there self love. Having a boudoir session in itself is such an amazing experience and I think EVERY woman should do it.
What are some of your favorite hair and makeup products?
I really like to use Mac, morphe, Fenty, and Anastasia the most for makeup. Paul Michael, Moroccan oil, and bumble and bumble for hair.
How long have you been in business?
I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 4 years.
If you had to grab three makeup products in an emergency, what would you grab?
Too faced sweet tea bronzer, Jaclyn hill morphe pallet, and Mac fix plus spray!!
Flat iron or curling wand?
Marcel curling iron over any other styling tools!!
If you had to pick one thing about your job, what is your favorite?
My favorite part of my job is doing transformations and when people say “wow I never thought I could look like that !!!”
Where are you from originally and how did you end up in Shreveport?
I am originally from Canada Prince Edward Island and moved to Shreveport because my mom met my step dad “who was on vacation in PEI” and they got married, so we moved here!
What is your favorite coffee ? (Hint, Hint). :)
I loveee chi tea latte and white chocolate mochas.

I am obsessed with making women feel beautiful. Yes, we all struggle with seeing who we are, and measuring our own worth. I struggle with it daily, and in some way when women tell me how amazed they are by their photos it makes me see the beauty in myself. I love hearing, “oh my gawwwwd, that’s ME?!?!”, and they knowing that I literally didn’t do anything to their bodies in the final images.

Things to consider when thinking about booking a boudoir session.
PRICE.
You’ll typically see prices ranging from ‘affordable’ to ‘expensive’; and everyone’s idea of those things are completely different. We spend more on a cut of meat because it taste better and we spend more on a certain type of car because we like the way it looks. Why shouldn’t you choose your boudoir photographer with the same things in mind.
How will the photographer make you feel? To me, that is the biggest factor.

LOCATION.
Will you need to rent a motel room, will you have your photos taken at home or does your photographer provide a private studio location that is set up perfectly for boudoir?
Blush Studio by Leslie offers the perfect studio location for your session, and each session is set up with slight differences so that no one session is the same.
WHAT DO YOU GET WITH YOUR SESSION FEE?
Some boudoir photographers give you all the digital images, some limit the amount of digital images that come with your session. Some photographers do not give you any digital images with your session fee, and some might include an album or prints. You have to decide what is most important to you. I think prints or an album are the best option, because you should get to enjoy the images - because you’re going to love them.
Blush Studio by Leslie offers all the digitals with some sessions, limits them with others and offers albums and prints too.
